Festival on High 2016 was a huge success!
Thank you to everyone who came out to support us. We had a great time and we're sure you did too.
Special thanks to our dedicated volunteers who started setting up barriers, tents, the stage and vendor booths at 7am, helped out throughout the day distributing water and giving directions, and helped take everything down at the end of the day. We couldn't have done it without you.
Get ready, Georgina residents and visitors! Our fourth annual Festival on High is right around the corner and you know what that means:
For those who are in the dark, every year, hundreds of brave plastic duckies are launched above the Black River Dam and cheered on by young and old alike -- each of whom likely has a stake in the race.
Prior to the race, you can buy a $2 ticket and adopt a duck for a day. If your duck is one of the first ten over the finish line you win vouchers that are accepted by stores, services and restaurants throughout downtown Sutton.
Otherwise, Festival on High has something for everyone: a Kids Zone in Mill Pond Park featuring bouncy castle, face painting, dress-up, a FREE photo booth and entertainment.
Our horse-drawn wagon is back again this year. This popular attraction takes you on a relaxing tour around town, starting and ending at Market Square Crescent.
Speaking of Market Square, we have dozens of vendors waiting to show off their wares. Browse our outdoor bazaar and enjoy live music throughout the day.
Then, carry on along High Street where our many shops, services and restaurants will be holding sidewalk sales and specials!
Festival on High comes to town Saturday, July 23, 2016 from 10am to 4pm. Duck Race begins at 1pm.
We are always looking for volunteers to help set up, take down, direct parking, assist vendors, and so on. If you'd like to help out, please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org .
We hope to see you there!
Thank you, Georgina! Our third annual Spring Fling was a huge success.
We had over a dozen local residents hawking their pre-loved tools, clothes, DVDs, sewing machines and toys along the Northwest side of Market Square Crescent.
Hundreds of people came through and enjoyed the flea market atmosphere and continued along High Street, where many of our stores and restaurants were open for business with specials and sidewalk sales.
We look forward to warming up to Spring with another Spring Fling in 2017. See you then!
